Abstract

In this study, a new facility and method for determination of tritium (T) in incinerable and non-incinerable solid wastes are presented. The protocol consists of oxidation in two steps of the samples in oxygen atmosphere, HTO kept and determined of T activities at Liquid Scintillation Counter.

The equipment was used in the radiological characterization of irradiated. Lithium-enriched plastic for neutron absorption and Fluental moderator material from VTT Finland.
