Abstract

Molecular sieving carbon are carbonaceous adsorbents of incresing importance. This paper describes the results of the study concerning the carbon molecular sieves (CMS) preparation and modification of pore structure. Molecular sieving properties of various carbon were studied by measuring dynamic adsorption capacity for carbon dioxide under pressure swing adsorption (PSA) conditions. Separation of carbon dioxide from landfill gas on CMS prepared in a laboratory unit designed for purpose based on PSA cycle is also reported.
