Abstract
The use of sewage sludge is one of the most important challenges in wastewater management. Knowing the composition of sludge generated by urban wastewater treatment plants is very important in making decisions to capitalize or eliminate them. This paper aims at presenting the composition of sludge from a urban wastewater treatment plant. For these samples were determined the content of heavy metals such as: Cr, Ni, Zn, Cu and Cd and the results were compared with the national legislation regulations Order No. 344/708 of 16th August 2004.
