Abstract

CONTRIBUTION TO THE STUDY OF SOME INSULATION SYSTEMS FOR LOW VOLTAGE ASYNCHRONOUS MACHINES

For asynchronous machines, the insulation system is one of the most important parts of the machine, both for its safety operating and its long life without damages.

This article presents four types of F class insulation systems, designed by authors, for low voltage asynchronous machines, using tapes based upon mica and epoxy resins, and its performances witch resulted when they were tested.

The recommended insulation system is remarkable by the electrical, mechanical and thermal (endurance test) properties.
