Abstract

The conversion of glycerol hydrogenolysis in aqueous solutions on a commercial copper chromite catalyst is evaluated under various conditions of temperature and time. These parameters are necessary and sufficient for developing a mathematical model of the hydrogenolysis process. This model shows a good arrangement of the experimental points on the response surfaces and a correlation coefficient closed to unity.
