Abstract

High power density along with low gravimetric and volumetric characteristics for Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) stacks is demanded in order to be successfully implemented on the market.

This paper presents the manufacturing steps and preliminary tests results for our in-house production of a short PEMFC stack with liquid cooling circuit. A PEM fuel cell stack with an active area of 92 cm2 and 5 cells in series was developed and used in this research.
