Abstract

Sustainable development is an objective of the European Union which leads to a different approach from the classic one in most market segments but particularly in construction industry segment. The study about the possibility of building efficiency and energy saving interventions, provided that the parameters of comfort are ensured, are of a high interest for the objective of sustainable development. To fulfill interior comfort conditions using fewer primary resources and minimum emissions, it’s necessary to use a ventilation systems with heat recovery from the exhaust air.

For energy efficient buildings, yield recovery ventilation system must be at least 75% and ventilation for these types of buildings can be achieved with two types of heat recovery ventilation systems (centralized and decentralized).
